A female Sparrow hawk was hunting 10ft from my window! I got about 30 photos before she flew off after her dinner, this one was the best photo.

Some random photos
Here are some recent photos I have taken over the last fortnight:
A little ducking, Cute!
1 of 5 cygnets that were born on the river near my house who i have been tracking on the river for a few weeks. The parents nest every year on my river and its always a joy to see them have a successful brood.
This is 1 of 6 cygnets from further down the river in the center of town, these are younger than the other cygnets.
The squirrel has moved on from eating the peanuts and is now attacking the fat. I have since moved it now so it can't get at it lol.
Went for a walk in the New forest and didn't getting many photos of wildlife but i did snap this little beastie, still trying to identify it.

Bumblebees
We have a Bumblebee nest under our shed! On Monday I was able to photograph some of the bees entering and leaving the nest:
Not sure what type of Bumblebee they are.
Full of pollen!

Squirrel
A new regular visitor to the bird feeders is this little fella. As i type this blog entry, it is currently sat in the house feeder. I will have to look at squirrel proofing the feeders otherwise this will be one very fat squirrel soon lol.

Holiday birdwatching
Looooooooooook I got a photo of a female Black Cap, yipeeeeeeeee!
*Ahem* Yes, last week i went on holiday to Burnham-on-sea in Somerset. The lodge that we stayed in backed on to a hedge so there was plenty of birds about.
Long tailed tits.
Blue tits
and Great tits. Also spotted but not photographed: Dunnock, Wren, Robin, male Black cap, Redwings, Heron, and a Buzzard in the trees next to our hedge, was very exciting. Heard a Green woodpecker a few times and there was a glimpse of either a greater or lesser spotted woodpecker too.

Goldfinch
Happy days! A Goldfinch has been spotted eating from my feeders:
I have been trying to encourage more finches onto the feeders with sunflower hearts, and there is a pair of Chaffinches that love it and now on two different days the Goldfinch has been having noms, i am very happy!
Also a new bird has been spotted on the feeders, a Coal tit! spotted whilst watching the birds for the RSPB birdwatch :)

Snow!
Yesterday we had our first snowfall this year and it did not disapoint! I went for a little walk with my other half and our cameras
Some Holly
Fluffed up Robin, didn't see many other bird out and about but my bird feeders are a different matter! A very territorial Black cap, Robins, Blue tits, Great Tits, Wood Pigeons, Blackbirds, Dunnocks are all taking advantage of the free food in this snow.
Poultry cross in the snow
Salisbury Cathedral
And my bunny in the snow :)
